The sight-singing exercises will start to use more interval skips. Students can practice by "singing the white keys" on the piano. First play a C on the keyboard. Next see if you can sing the note D before it is played.
Again play the note C and then try to sing the note E. After trying to sing an E, then play the E to see if you were correct.
After playing only the note C, try to sing the note F. This can be done for each of the C major scale steps.
If you are really adventurous, try the singing each of the black keys after playing only the note C. Today's sight-singing exercise has an accidental.
