You have probably noticed that the pace is picking up in Music Theory 099. We now have many different, but all related, things going on at the same time. Students are learning to take two different types of dictation. Interval dictation and rhythmic dictation are the beginning stages of melodic dictation.

You are being asked to identify chords, the beginning stages of harmonic dictation. Melodic and harmonic dictation will be introduced later in Music Theory 099.
